Mayor says BJP government committed to strengthening farmers’ welfare and cooperative institutions

The virtual inauguration of newly formed service cooperative societies across Chhattisgarh was conducted today under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Cooperation Minister Kedar Kashyap. As part of this initiative, the newly established A.Ja./Vrihatakar/Seva Sahakari Samiti Maryadit in village Machanpar of Dongargaon block, Rajnandgaon district, was virtually inaugurated.
Rajnandgaon Mayor Madhusudan Yadav attended the program as the chief invited guest and encouraged local residents and farmers. Chairman of Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation Topendra “Paras” Verma was also present as a special guest.
Virtual Launch Connected From State Headquarters
The inauguration ceremony began with lighting of the lamp before the portrait of Bharat Mata followed by traditional worship rituals. The event was virtually connected to the state headquarters in Raipur, where the Chief Minister and Cooperation Minister launched several newly constituted cooperative societies across the state through an online platform.
A large number of local BJP leaders, village representatives, farmers and residents from Machanpar, Bodela, Dhaurabhatha, Khairi and Margaon villages participated in the program.
Mayor Emphasizes Farmers’ Welfare
Addressing the gathering, Mayor Madhusudan Yadav highlighted various public welfare schemes being implemented by the government and spoke about farmer-oriented policies of the BJP government.

He stated that the government remains fully committed to strengthening farmers’ interests and enhancing rural economic development through cooperative institutions. According to him, cooperative societies play a crucial role in improving agricultural support systems, ensuring access to resources and promoting collective growth among farmers.
Focus on Strengthening Cooperative Movement
The newly formed cooperative society is expected to facilitate agricultural services, strengthen rural financial systems and provide institutional support to farmers in the region. The initiative aims to expand cooperative infrastructure and improve accessibility to government schemes at the grassroots level.
Local representatives welcomed the initiative and expressed optimism that the cooperative society would contribute significantly to agricultural development and farmer empowerment in the area.
