The primary concern raised by the residents was the persistent water shortage affecting both colonies. The locals expressed frustration over the inadequate water supply, stating that despite repeated complaints, they have been struggling to meet their daily water needs.

Responding promptly, Mayor Yadav held a detailed discussion with the concerned officials, including Assistant Engineer Shri Anup Pandey, to devise an immediate solution. He instructed the engineering team to synchronize the opening of water tanks situated at District Hospital and R.K. Nagar. “Opening both tanks simultaneously will increase water pressure, ensuring an adequate water supply to the affected areas,” said Mayor Yadav. He also emphasized the need to operate the valves only after the tanks are completely filled, in order to optimize water distribution. The mayor further directed technical teams to explore all possible measures to resolve the water crisis without delay.

In addition to the water-related issues, residents also highlighted the long-standing problems of poorly maintained roads and drainage systems. Mayor Yadav assured the community that these infrastructure concerns would be resolved at the earliest, pledging the municipal corporation’s full support in upgrading the colony’s basic amenities.

During his visit to Riddhi Siddhi Colony, discussions also centered around the proposed pipeline expansion project. While residents demanded the installation of a six-inch pipeline to improve water flow, Mayor Yadav explained that a detailed survey by the municipal corporation had already determined the need for a four-inch pipeline, which has been officially approved. “The four-inch pipeline will suffice to meet the colony’s water requirements,” he assured. The mayor also guaranteed that any additional civic issues raised by the residents would be addressed as a priority.

Mayor Yadav’s direct engagement with the community was well-received, with locals expressing appreciation for his on-ground approach and commitment to resolving their grievances. The visit reflects the administration’s intent to remain closely connected with public concerns and to implement practical solutions for improving living conditions in Rajnandgaon’s neighborhoods.

With clear directives given to officials and the mayor’s assurance of timely execution, residents of Aashirwad and Riddhi Siddhi Colonies are hopeful for swift relief from their water woes and long-standing infrastructure challenges.
