Speaking about the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Singh said the scheme provides monthly financial assistance to women, helping them move toward financial independence. He congratulated all beneficiaries receiving the scheme’s benefits and described it as a significant step toward empowering women in the state.

Former Vice-Chairman Khubchand Parkh also addressed the gathering and spoke about the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day. He emphasized that sharing knowledge, skills, and experience to support women ultimately benefits society as a whole. He added that encouraging women to develop their talents and leadership capabilities is also a form of contributing knowledge to society.

Parkh noted that earlier India was often seen as a male-dominated society where women were sometimes overlooked. However, he said that the situation is rapidly changing, with women excelling in nearly every field. He expressed confidence that in the coming years women would not remain confined to household roles but would continue to occupy important leadership positions in offices and institutions.

He also highlighted that under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, the state government is providing ₹1,000 per month to women, strengthening their economic condition and improving family welfare and child health. He added that several initiatives are also being undertaken by the government to eliminate malnutrition and ensure proper nutrition for children.

CEO of District Panchayat Suruchi Singh informed the gathering that beneficiaries under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana are receiving ₹1,000 every month as financial assistance. When she asked the women present about the amount they receive, the participants enthusiastically responded that they receive the benefit regularly.

She stressed that three things should not exist in any family—illiteracy, lack of cleanliness, and malnourished children. She urged women to understand the importance of education and ensure that both sons and daughters receive equal opportunities to study.

Singh also emphasized the importance of hygiene and sanitation, noting that toilets and clean surroundings are essential for the health of women and children. She added that women are not only caretakers of their families but also sources of inspiration for society.

Highlighting nutrition awareness, she advised mothers to adopt the concept of “Tricolor Food”, which includes three different colors of nutritious food in a meal to ensure balanced nutrition for children. She also encouraged women to utilize the financial assistance received under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana wisely for education, nutrition, and hygiene, describing it as a small capital for family development rather than just an amount to spend.
