Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh inaugurated 89 development works worth ₹3.77 crore during a public grievance redressal camp held under Sushasan Tihar 2026 in Dilapahari village of Rajnandgaon district. Emphasizing women’s empowerment, he said that the education of women and girls remains the most important requirement for the progress of society.
A free KYC camp under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana was organised in Rajnandgaon’s Ward No. 39, enabling women beneficiaries to complete verification formalities conveniently at the ward level.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Women and Child Development Department organized a Mahtari Sammelan at Gandhi Sabhagruh in Rajnandgaon where women achievers were honored and speakers highlighted the role of women’s empowerment and the benefits of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana.

Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, nearly 2.55 lakh women in Rajnandgaon receive about ₹24 crore every month through DBT, with total disbursements touching ₹507 crore across 21 instalments since March 2024.
In a significant step towards regional development and healthcare enhancement, Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh inaugurated and laid foundation stones for various development works worth ₹39.23 crore in Dongargarh today. He also launched a modern diagnostic center at Maa Bamleshwari Charitable Hospital, equipped with CT scan, digital X-ray, and sonography services—benefitting thousands in the surrounding region.
As part of the ongoing 'Sushasan Tihar', Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh participated in a mega solution camp in village Tedsera, where he inaugurated and laid the foundation for 22 development works worth ₹1.21 crore. Multiple welfare benefits, including housing, sanitation, and health cards, were distributed to the villagers under various central and state schemes.
In celebration of Panchayati Raj Day, a district-level event was organized in Gotatola village, Mohla, on April 24, 2024. The program featured the inauguration of the Atal Panchayat Digital Seva Kendra and distribution of benefits under key government schemes including old age and widow pensions and the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Officials highlighted the importance of Panchayati Raj in strengthening democracy at the grassroots level.
