Speaker inaugurates 89 development works worth ₹3.77 crore at Dilapahari grievance redressal camp; announces sub-health centre and power infrastructure upgrade

Raman Singh participated in a public grievance redressal camp organized under Sushasan Tihar 2026 at Dilapahari village in Rajnandgaon development block on Thursday. During the programme, he inaugurated 89 development works completed at a cost of ₹3 crore 77 lakh 36 thousand.
Major Announcements for Dilapahari
Dr. Raman Singh announced the establishment of a Sub-Health Centre in Dilapahari and sanctioned ₹1.50 crore from the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) fund for the construction of toilets in various schools.
He also announced that the existing 63 KVA transformer in the area would be upgraded to 100 KVA capacity to address voltage fluctuations and improve electricity supply in the region.
Benefits Distributed to Citizens

During the camp, Dr. Singh handed over completion certificates and house keys to three beneficiaries under the Prime Minister Housing Scheme. Three beneficiaries also received Ayushman Vay Vandana Cards.
Certificates were distributed to women who achieved the status of Lakhpati Didi, while Swachhta Didis were honoured with shawls and coconuts in recognition of their contribution.
Focus on Women’s Education and Empowerment
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Raman Singh praised the large participation of women in the camp and reiterated that women’s empowerment remains a key priority of the government.
He stated that the education of women and girls is the greatest requirement for the development of society. He noted that schools have been established across villages and urged parents to pay special attention to the education of their children.
Dr. Singh highlighted the benefits of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana introduced by the government led by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.
According to him, 5,079 women from 13 villages in the area are receiving more than ₹50 lakh every month through the scheme, with total benefits of nearly ₹14 crore distributed over the last 27 months.
Housing and Rural Infrastructure Development
The Assembly Speaker stated that houses worth nearly ₹22 crore have been constructed in villages of the region over the past two years under the Prime Minister Housing Scheme.
He also highlighted the completion and approval of several infrastructure projects, including roads, ponds, concrete roads, drainage systems, and other essential public amenities.
Dr. Singh emphasized that both the Central and State Governments are continuously working for the welfare of villages, farmers, and economically weaker sections.

Farmer Welfare and Revenue Services
He informed villagers that paddy procurement is being carried out at ₹3,100 per quintal, with procurement of up to 21 quintals per acre.
Dr. Singh also said that revenue-related issues such as mutation, partition, demarcation, correction of records, and land diversion are being resolved at the village level itself. Citizens with pending cases were encouraged to directly present their grievances during the camp.
₹242.77 Crore Irrigation Project to Benefit 36 Villages
While reviewing irrigation facilities in the region, officials from the Water Resources Department informed the gathering that the Lamti Feeder Minor Reservoir and Canal Project, costing ₹242.77 crore, has been approved.
The project is expected to provide irrigation facilities across 1,840 hectares of agricultural land in 36 villages. Ten villages within the Rajnandgaon Assembly constituency—including Sukuldaihan, Bamhani, Dhangaon, Gatapar, Dilapahari, Dharmapur, Dhaba, Bagtarai, and Litiya—will directly benefit from the project.
Officials stated that work is progressing and irrigation water is expected to be made available to farmers by next year.
Drinking Water Projects Underway
Dr. Singh also reviewed drinking water arrangements in the region.
Officials from the Public Health Engineering Department informed that work is underway to provide drinking water to 21 villages across 13 gram panchayats through the Mongra Multi-Village Water Supply Scheme.
The department expects villagers to begin receiving benefits from the scheme before next summer. In view of the ongoing heatwave, additional pumps have been deployed in Dilapahari, Dharmapur, and other affected areas to address drinking water shortages.
Dr. Singh instructed officials to immediately arrange alternative water sources wherever borewells or hand pumps have dried up.
Progress in Revenue Case Disposal
The Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue) presented details regarding the disposal of revenue cases in the area.
According to the report:
- 193 out of 223 uncontested mutation cases have been resolved.
- 51 out of 60 undivided account partition cases have been disposed of.
- 45 out of 57 divided account partition cases have been settled.
- 50 out of 76 demarcation cases have been resolved.
- 43 out of 46 record correction cases have been completed.
- All 25 diversion cases have been successfully disposed of.
Officials stated that the remaining cases would be resolved within the prescribed timeline.

Collector Highlights Development Achievements
Jitendra Yadav informed that Sushasan Tihar 2026 is being organized across rural and urban areas of the district from May 4 to June 10.
He said residents from 13 villages participated in the Dilapahari camp and several development projects were inaugurated. Under the Prime Minister Housing Scheme, 821 houses have been sanctioned, of which more than 370 have already been completed.
He also stated that more than 1,100 women have become Lakhpati Didis under the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), while employment worth ₹1.49 crore has been generated through 53 works under MGNREGA.
The Collector further highlighted achievements under the Swachh Bharat Mission, the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, and the Prime Minister Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. He noted that over 3,000 solar power systems have already been installed in the district, enabling many households to receive zero electricity bills.
Law and Order, Water Conservation Initiatives Discussed
Ankita Sharma informed participants that strict action is being taken against gambling, betting, and illegal liquor activities, while regular patrolling is being conducted in rural areas.
District Panchayat CEO Suruchi Singh outlined ongoing efforts related to water conservation, sanitation, and employment generation. She highlighted initiatives such as Neer and Nari Jal Yatra, injection wells, percolation tanks, and borewell recharge projects.
She added that Rajnandgaon district has earned national recognition for its achievements in the field of sanitation.
Several public representatives, officials, and villagers attended the programme, including District Panchayat Chairperson Kiran Vaishnav, District Cooperative Central Bank Chairman Sachin Baghel, Janpad Panchayat Chairperson Pratima Chandrakar, and local elected representatives.
