Good Governance Week Camp Held at Madiyan Village Under ‘Administration at the Doorstep’ Initiative

New ration cards and seed mini kits distributed; villagers receive on-the-spot services and welfare benefits

As part of Good Governance Week – “Administration at the Doorstep” campaign 2025, a multi-departmental public service camp was organised at Gram Panchayat Madiyan in Dongargarh development block of Rajnandgaon district.

The initiative aims to take government services directly to rural citizens and ensure prompt redressal of public grievances. Under the campaign, similar camps are being organised across the district, where applications received from beneficiaries are being addressed by the concerned departments.

Villagers from 24 gram panchayats participated in the camp. Various departments set up information and service stalls to disseminate details of government welfare schemes and extend benefits to eligible beneficiaries. A total of 93 applications were received during the camp, out of which 35 applications were resolved on the spot.

The Women and Child Development Department organised traditional Godh Bharai and Annaprashan ceremonies, promoting maternal and child welfare. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, women sanitation workers and Mitanins were felicitated for their outstanding contribution to cleanliness initiatives, while sanitation volunteers spread awareness messages on hygiene and cleanliness in villages.

The Electricity Department provided detailed information on the Pradhan Mantri Suryaghar Muft Bijli Yojana, highlighting the benefits of rooftop solar energy. Meanwhile, the Agriculture Department educated farmers on crop diversification and distributed seed mini kits to beneficiaries.

Officials from the Revenue, Horticulture, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Education and Labour Departments also briefed villagers on various ongoing schemes and benefits available under their respective departments. During the camp, new ration cards were distributed to eligible families.

The programme was attended by Vice Chairman of District Cooperative Central Bank Rajnandgaon Shri Bharat Verma, District Panchayat Member Smt. Anita Mandavi, sarpanches of Madiyan, Karutola, Mohanpur, Piparkhar Kala and Kotnapani, SDM Shri M. Bhargav, CEO Smt. Bhagwati Sahu, along with a large number of villagers.
