This was India’s first Recurve Men’s title at the Asian Championships since the legendary Limba Ram won it in 2007 – a drought of 18 long years that ended in thunderous fashion. The gold rush didn’t stop there. The Compound team continued its absolute domination by defending all three titles they held coming into the championship:Compound Men’s Team: Atanu Das, Abhishek Verma, and Rajat Chauhan crushed Chinese Taipei 238-230. Compound Women’s Team: Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Aditi Swami, and Parneet Kaur retained their crown with a near-perfect score.

Compound Mixed Team: Jyothi and Abhishek Verma successfully defended their title for the third consecutive edition. Adding to the euphoria, young sensation Aditi Swami became the first Indian woman to win the Compound Women’s Individual Asian Championship title, beating Korea’s Oh Yoohyun in straight sets. The 19-year-old prodigy, who won World Championship gold last year, proved her rise is no flash in the pan.
