Accused Says Registry Was Halted Due to Pending Court Dispute Over Part of the Property, Denies Fraud Allegations

Lala Yadav, an accused in a fraud case registered in connection with a land deal in Pendri village, has rejected the allegations against him as baseless and presented his version of the dispute.
According to Yadav, the deal involved 48 dismil of land for ₹2.5 crore, against which an advance payment of ₹25 lakh was made to the seller. He said an agreement was also executed between both parties, containing terms and conditions related to the sale and registration of the property.
Disputed Portion Led to Halt in Registration
Yadav said that during the registration process, he came to know that a portion of the land facing the property was involved in a pending court dispute.
According to his account, completing the registration without clarity regarding the disputed portion was not possible. He therefore asked the seller to first resolve the pending legal dispute.
Yadav claimed that both sides had agreed that once the court dispute was resolved, the property would be registered and the remaining amount of the deal would be paid in full.
Accused Denies Fraud or Intention to Grab Land
Yadav has denied taking any action with an intention to grab the land or commit fraud.
He has also alleged that the police registered the FIR in haste without fully examining the documents and the complete status of the court dispute concerning the property.
According to Yadav, the police did not adequately consider the agreement between the parties, the ₹25 lakh advance payment and the pending court proceedings connected with the land while taking action.
Says Documents Will Establish His Position
Yadav said he is prepared to fully cooperate with the police investigation and that he possesses documents relating to the land transaction, advance payment and agreement executed between the parties.
He maintained that an impartial examination of the documents and the legal status of the disputed property would clarify the actual circumstances surrounding the transaction.
The allegations and counterclaims in the matter remain subject to investigation. The final facts of the case will depend on the findings of the police investigation and the relevant legal proceedings.
