Renowned educationist and Director of Neeraj Group of Schools, Shri Neeraj Bajpai, will be conferred with the prestigious Danveer Bhamashah honor during the State Decoration Ceremony marking the Silver Jubilee of Chhattisgarh State Foundation Day. The award will be presented in Raipur by the Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan.

It is notable that Rajnandgaon was set to receive a Medical College, but lack of an approach road threatened to shift the project elsewhere despite the availability of government land. Upon learning this, Shri Neeraj Bajpai, along with his father Shri Dwarika Nath Bajpai and family members Smt. Pushpa Bajpai, Shri Preetak Bajpai, Shri Navneet Bajpai, and Shri Veerak Bajpai, voluntarily donated 2.15 acres of land measuring 60 feet wide and 1600 feet long from the National Highway to the proposed Medical College gate. The road has since played a vital role in timely healthcare access, helping save numerous lives.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Neeraj Bajpai’s Neeraj Bajpai International School at Bori was converted into a 74-bed COVID hospital. Further, before government guidelines were implemented, he waived 50% school fees for children who lost one or both parents to the pandemic. Additionally, for several years, children of martyred soldiers and police personnel have been receiving 50% to 100% fee concessions.

His philanthropic efforts include continuous support to economically weaker sections, differently-abled individuals, and underprivileged students. Approximately 250 financially weak students are provided fee concessions amounting to nearly ₹10 lakh annually. Around 850 children are also studying free of cost under the Right to Education Act in Neeraj Group of Schools. He is also associated with Abhilasha organization, contributing to the welfare of children with special needs.

Recognizing his outstanding humanitarian and social service contributions, the Chhattisgarh Government’s Social Welfare Department has selected Shri Neeraj Bajpai for the Danveer Bhamashah honor.
