In-Charge Minister Lakhna Lal Dewangan Directs Officials to Ensure Government Benefits Reach the Last Person

A departmental review meeting was held at the Collectorate office in Kabirdham district to assess the effective implementation of government welfare schemes and development works.
The meeting was attended by Chhattisgarh Industries and Labour Minister and Kabirdham district in-charge Minister Lakhna Lal Dewangan, along with public representatives and district administration officials. The progress of various departmental schemes and development works was reviewed in detail.
Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha MP Santosh Pandey, Pandariya MLA Bhavana Bohra, District Panchayat President Ishwari Sahu and other public representatives and departmental officials were present at the meeting.
During the review, department-wise updates were sought on the status of priority schemes of the government. Officials provided information regarding targets, progress achieved so far, the status of ongoing construction works and the benefits being received by beneficiaries.

Emphasis was also laid on completing works that had not achieved the expected progress within the stipulated time frame and resolving challenges arising during the implementation of various schemes at the earliest.
Focus on Delivering Welfare Benefits to Eligible Beneficiaries
In-charge Minister Lakhna Lal Dewangan said that the objective of government schemes would be meaningful only when their benefits reached the last person in society.
He directed departmental officials to regularly monitor the schemes being implemented by their respective departments and ensure that eligible beneficiaries received the benefits on time.
The Minister also stressed the importance of maintaining quality and adhering to timelines in development works.
He said there should be no compromise on the quality of construction works and that sanctioned projects must be completed within the prescribed period so that the public could receive their benefits without delay.
Department-Wise Progress Reviewed
The progress of schemes being implemented by various departments was reviewed during the meeting.
Officials briefed the Minister and public representatives about the current status of departmental schemes, development works, beneficiary-oriented programmes and ongoing construction projects.
Discussions covered rural development, Panchayat and rural area development works, housing, drinking water, agriculture and farmer-related schemes, education, health, women and child development, animal husbandry and other departmental programmes.

Officials were instructed to maintain transparency in the implementation of schemes and ensure that eligible beneficiaries received benefits on time.
They were also directed to give priority to public grievances raised through elected representatives and ensure their timely resolution.
Public Representatives Offer Suggestions on District Development
MP Santosh Pandey, Pandariya MLA Bhavana Bohra and other public representatives shared suggestions on various issues related to the development of the district.
They emphasised that development works should directly benefit citizens and that problems arising at the local level during the implementation of government schemes should be resolved on priority.
The public representatives also stressed the need to pay special attention to the quality and timely completion of ongoing development works and the effective implementation of government schemes.
They called upon officials to maintain close coordination with public representatives while carrying out development-related work.
Officials Directed to Complete Works Within Deadlines
During the review meeting, the in-charge Minister said that regular monitoring of government schemes was essential along with accelerating development works in the district.
He directed officials to complete pending works on priority and accelerate implementation in schemes where progress had not reached the prescribed targets.
The Minister said the primary objective of the administration was to provide better facilities to the public. He directed officials to discharge their responsibilities effectively and continuously inspect the implementation of schemes and development works.
Senior district administration officials and officers from various departments were present at the meeting.
The review meeting provided necessary directions to accelerate development works in Kabirdham and ensure that the benefits of government schemes reached the maximum number of people.
