Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure Given Warm Farewell; New Collector Jitendra Yadav Assumes Charge

In an emotional ceremony held at the Collectorate Conference Hall on Monday, the district administration and senior officials extended a heartfelt farewell to outgoing Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, who has been appointed Joint Commissioner (Textiles) under the Government of India. Simultaneously, newly posted Collector Jitendra Yadav was warmly welcomed to the district.

In his farewell address, Dr. Bhure reflected on his five-month tenure in Rajnandgaon, emphasizing the district’s strong administrative discipline and team spirit. “I received immense affection and cooperation from everyone in the Sanskardhani. The administrative team here is excellent and committed to implementing government schemes effectively,” he said.

He highlighted several key initiatives undertaken during his tenure, including:

  • Launch of revenue settlement drives for speedy case disposal,
  • Large-scale issuance of caste, income, and residence certificates,
  • Development of Dongargarh Parikrama Path,
  • Commencement of NEET and JEE coaching programs under the Education Department,
  • Establishment of the Prayas Hostel in the Education Hub, and
  • Ongoing infrastructure works under departments such as Irrigation, Sports, Housing, and Skill Development.

Dr. Bhure thanked all officers and employees for their dedication, adding that collective efforts had made his short tenure “memorable and impactful.” He also noted that the district continues to progress under the blessings of Maa Bamleshwari and the guidance of Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh.

New Collector Jitendra Yadav, while congratulating Dr. Bhure on his central deputation, praised his significant contributions within a short period. “Dr. Bhure’s work has set a high standard of governance in Rajnandgaon. We will continue to seek his guidance. The district team must now focus on delivering government schemes with excellence and teamwork,” he remarked.

During the ceremony, SDM Dongargaon IAS M. Bhargav, Additional Collectors C.L. Markandeya and Prem Prakash Sharma, Municipal Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma, Joint Collector Sheetal Bansal, SDM Rajnandgaon Gautam Chand Patil, and other officers were present.
Additional Collector C.L. Markandeya also lauded Dr. Bhure’s leadership in initiatives such as the Jal Shakti Abhiyan, mega health camps, e-office launch, and Su-shasan Tihar programs, describing his tenure as “short but unforgettable.”

The event concluded with officers extending best wishes to both the outgoing and newly appointed collectors for their future endeavors in public service.
