Basantpur Police Recover 25 Lost Mobile Phones Worth ₹3.75 Lakh, Return Them to Owners

People Reunited with Their Devices as Rajnandgaon Police Continue Citizen-Centric Recovery Drive

In a citizen-friendly policing initiative, Basantpur Police recovered 25 lost mobile phones and returned them to their rightful owners, restoring devices collectively valued at approximately ₹3.75 lakh.

The recovery brought relief and happiness to the recipients, who expressed their gratitude to Rajnandgaon Police and Basantpur Police Station for their prompt and effective action.

Special Drive Launched to Trace Lost Mobile Phones

The recovery was carried out under the direction of Superintendent of Police Ankita Sharma, with guidance from Additional Superintendent of Police Kirtan Rathore and City Superintendent of Police Vaishali Jain.

The operation was led by Basantpur Police Station In-charge Inspector Aman Sahu, who has been supervising a dedicated campaign to trace and recover lost mobile phones.

As part of the ongoing drive, police successfully tracked and recovered 25 mobile phones belonging to various brands and manufacturers.

Recovered Devices Handed Over to Their Owners

During a programme held at the Basantpur Police Station on Friday, all recovered mobile phones were formally handed over to their respective owners after completing the required legal documentation.

Recipients appreciated the police for their swift action, stating that they had almost lost hope of recovering their missing devices. They credited the successful recovery to the police team’s persistent efforts and technical investigation.

Police Appeal to Citizens

Police appealed to citizens not to use any lost mobile phone they may find. Instead, they urged people to immediately deposit such devices at the nearest police station so they can be returned to their rightful owners.

Officials also clarified that the campaign to trace and recover lost mobile phones will continue in the coming days.

The operation was carried out with the significant contribution of CCTNS Constable Shravan Paikra, Constable Fagu Sahu, Constable Lalit Rawate, along with other officers and personnel of Basantpur Police Station.
