Strategic Partnership to Boost Global Research, Innovation, Faculty Exchange and Academic Collaboration

The Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur, has achieved a major milestone on the global academic stage by signing a historic multilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 20 leading international universities during a prestigious global summit held in Bangkok, Thailand.
The agreement marks a significant step towards strengthening international cooperation in higher education, innovation, research and sustainable development, bringing together premier institutions from South Asia, Southeast Asia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Global Summit Held at ICONSIAM Convention Centre
The agreement was signed during the AUAP–WURI Impact Summit 2026, held on July 9–10 at the ICONSIAM Convention Centre in Bangkok.
The two-day international summit focused on the theme “University Innovation, Policy, Systems and Impact in Partnership with Government” and brought together university leaders, policymakers, innovation experts and distinguished academicians from across the world.

Vice-Chancellor Presents HNLU’s R-HaS Research Model
Representing HNLU at the summit, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) V.C. Vivekanandan presented a case study on the university’s innovative Research Hub and Spoke (R-HaS) Model.
The presentation highlighted HNLU’s interdisciplinary research ecosystem, externally funded research projects and its commitment to socially relevant and impact-driven research. The model received appreciation from experts and delegates attending the summit.
Expressing satisfaction over the achievement, Prof. Vivekanandan said HNLU is making significant progress in showcasing its research initiatives globally through meaningful engagement with regional and international university networks.
He described the multilateral MoU as a milestone in expanding the university’s international academic collaborations.
During the summit, Prof. Vivekanandan also held discussions with AUAP Secretary-General Prof. Dr. Anoop Swarup and Executive Secretary Dr. Supaporn Chuangchit on future collaboration in international conferences, joint research projects, faculty exchange and student mobility programmes.

Key Areas of Collaboration
Under Article 3 of the multilateral MoU, the 20 participating institutions will collaborate in several strategic areas, including:
- Joint innovation and research projects of global significance.
- Faculty, researcher and student exchange programmes.
- Development of innovation ecosystems and promotion of startups.
- Organisation of international conferences, workshops and collaborative case studies.
