A complaint regarding contaminated drinking water in Anjora village prompted an immediate response from the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department. Assistant Engineer Palak Kothari and her technical team visited the village and inspected the pipeline network in the presence of local residents.
During the inspection, officials identified leakage in the older pipeline laid earlier under the Jal Jeevan Mission. This pipeline had previously been handed over to the Gram Panchayat under the earlier Nal Jal Yojana.
The Gram Panchayat swiftly carried out the repair work, sealing the leakage and restoring normal water flow.
Water Samples Tested Clean After Repair
After the repair, water samples were collected from the households of Kirti Ishwar Sahu, Kevalram Sahu, and Birendra Sahu for laboratory testing. The test results confirmed that the drinking water was clean and safe for consumption.
Supply Restored Across the Village
Authorities stated that the leakage in the old pipeline has now been fully repaired by the Gram Panchayat, and all households in the village are currently receiving clean water without any contamination issues.
The prompt action by the PHE Department and local administration has brought relief to residents who had raised concerns over water quality just a day earlier.
