During his visit today, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh expressed dissatisfaction over the sluggish pace of SIR enumeration form submissions in urban areas. While rural residents are actively ensuring their names are included in the updated voter list, city dwellers remain notably indifferent, he observed.
To address the issue, Dr. Singh convened a crucial meeting with BJP BLA members, SIR in-charges, Mandal presidents, and senior party leaders. The meeting reviewed constituency-wise data regarding the number of enumeration forms submitted across all four assemblies under the SIR initiative.
Dr. Singh appealed to all city leaders and responsible citizens to participate seriously in the campaign, warning that the last date for form submission is approaching fast. “Urban voters must remain vigilant. No one should lose their right to vote simply due to negligence. Everyone must ensure they fill out and submit their forms on time,” he stated.

Mayor Madhusudan Yadav also urged citizens to complete the process without delay. “Even if your name is not present in the 2003 voter list, you must still fill out the form. An additional month will be provided later to verify voter identity using 13 accepted documents,” he clarified.
Mandal presidents Golu Gupta and Sumit Bhatia highlighted the challenges faced by residents in filling the forms, suggesting improvements for smoother implementation.
The meeting witnessed active participation from several senior leaders, including State BJP Vice-President Ramji Bharti, Sachin Baghel, Ramesh Patel, Dinesh Gandhi, Ashok Chaudhary, Bhavesh Ved, Devkumari Sahu, Pratima Chandrakar, Rohit Chandrakar, Dr. Balram Nirmalkar and Komal Sahu, among others.
Key BLAs present included Mukesh Baghel, Jain Meksham, Gulshan Hirwani, Hirendra Sahu, DKesh Sahu, and District Vice-President Tarun Leharwani, all of whom offered important suggestions to accelerate the process.
