Farmers across the district are expressing satisfaction and relief as the Chhattisgarh government’s ambitious Krishak Unnati Yojana and support price-based paddy procurement system continue to deliver strong financial support during the Kharif Marketing Year 2025–26. With better pricing, efficient processes, and improved facilities, the schemes are significantly boosting farmers’ economic stability.
At the Sukuldaihan paddy procurement centre, farmer Shankarlal Sahu from Sukuldaihan village arrived to sell his produce under the state’s support price policy. Shankarlal, who owns 2 acres and 76 dismil of agricultural land, reported an excellent paddy yield this year.
He shared that he obtained an online mobile app token through “Tuhar Hath”, allowing him to bring 57.5 quintals of paddy for sale without any delay. He also appreciated the cooperative society for providing high-quality gunny bags.

Praising the government’s arrangements, he said that the procurement centre offered smooth, transparent, and farmer-friendly facilities, ensuring hassle-free sale of paddy. The electronic weighing machine enabled fast and accurate measurement, saving farmers significant time. “The online token system and electronic weighing helped me save a lot of time,” Shankarlal noted.
He further added that he had also benefited last year from the support price and Krishak Unnati Yojana, which provided him crucial economic stability. Under the current policy, farmers are receiving ₹3,100 per quintal, with procurement of up to 21 quintals per acre, ensuring fair compensation for their actual production.
Expressing gratitude, Shankarlal thanked Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and the state government for implementing a paddy procurement policy that genuinely uplifts farmers and strengthens rural prosperity.
