Chhattisgarh will celebrate its State Foundation Day on November 1 with an important milestone for thousands of rural families. During the state-level main event to be held at Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will virtually conduct the Grih Pravesh ceremony for beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) across the state. Among them, more than 4,500 beneficiary families from Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki district will step into their newly constructed homes.

The program marks a significant step in fulfilling the dream of “Housing for All”, ensuring dignified living spaces for rural families and encouraging self-reliance and social upliftment.

Celebrating New Beginnings with Traditions and Festivity

According to the District Panchayat, the construction of over 4,500 houses in the district under PMAY-Gramin has been successfully completed. On November 1, these families will enter their new homes in a warm, cultural, and festive environment.

  • Houses will be decorated with earthen lamps and vibrant rangoli.
  • Families will follow traditional Grih Pravesh rituals.
  • Beneficiaries will be given a symbolic home key, a gratitude letter, and a memento.

These efforts aim to make the housewarming not just a government program but also a personal celebration of hope and progress for each family.

Administrative Preparation in Full Swing

Preparations for the large-scale event are being closely monitored under the direction of Collector Mrs. Tulika Prajapati and CEO, District Panchayat, Mrs. Bharti Chandrakar.
The district administration has ensured that the event reflects public participation and cultural pride.

  • Departments, Panchayat officials, and public representatives are actively coordinating.
  • Women’s Self-Help Groups have been engaged to support event arrangements.
  • Public awareness campaigns are being conducted to ensure maximum participation of beneficiaries.

The administration has emphasized that the essence of the event lies in strengthening community bonding and encouraging a positive environment for rural development.

Symbol of Empowerment and Social Dignity

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) aims to provide permanent, secure, and well-designed housing to rural families belonging to weaker socio-economic backgrounds. With these new homes, families will now have access to:

  • Improved living conditions
  • A sense of ownership and dignity
  • Better opportunities for socio-economic growth

Local officials expressed that the initiative is not only about providing shelter but also about ensuring security, identity, and a renewed sense of pride among rural households.
