‘Vote Bachao–Desh Bachao’ campaign to be reviewed on October 26; city and rural Congress leaders and workers to discuss strategy for strengthening the drive

Rajesh Thakur, in-charge of the All India Congress Committee’s ‘Vote Bachao–Desh Bachao’ campaign and former president of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee, will visit Rajnandgaon on Monday, October 26, to review the campaign and discuss plans to strengthen its activities.
According to the programme schedule, Thakur will address a press conference at 2:30 pm at the Press Club building near Raipur Naka. A joint meeting of the City and Rural District Congress Committees will follow at 3 pm at Satnam Bhawan.
Senior Congress Leaders to Attend Meeting
Pratima Chandrakar, in-charge of the City District Congress Committee, and Kunwar Nishad, in-charge of the Rural District Congress Committee, will also attend the meeting.
Discussions will focus on reviewing the campaign’s ongoing activities and developing strategies to make it more effective and active in the coming days. Rajesh Thakur and other senior leaders will guide Congress office-bearers and workers on the campaign.
Leaders Stress Protection of Democracy and Voting Rights
City District Congress Committee president Jitendra Mudaliyar and Rural District Congress Committee president Vipin Yadav issued a joint statement describing the ‘Vote Bachao–Desh Bachao’ campaign as an important initiative linked to protecting democracy and safeguarding voting rights.

They said active participation and coordination at every level of the organisation were necessary to take the campaign to the public. They expressed confidence that the joint meeting in Rajnandgaon would provide fresh direction and momentum to the initiative.
The two district presidents appealed to all Congress members to attend the programme.
Wide Participation Expected
The meeting is expected to bring together Pradesh Congress office-bearers, sitting and former legislators, former election candidates, and presidents and office-bearers of district, block and mandal Congress committees.
Representatives of frontal organisations, cells and departments at the district and block levels will also participate, along with trained social media members, elected representatives of urban local bodies and the three-tier Panchayati Raj system, office-bearers from the cooperative sector, senior Congress leaders and party workers.
Both district Congress committees have urged office-bearers, elected representatives and workers to arrive on time, ensure the meeting’s success and actively contribute to strengthening the ‘Vote Bachao–Desh Bachao’ campaign.
