243 Patients Benefited with Medical Checkups, Free Medicines, and Health Advice under AYUSH Initiative

A free health and awareness camp was organized by the AYUSH Department at the Government Building, Azad Chowk, Motipur, Rajnandgaon, providing medical services through Ayurveda, Homeopathy, and Unani systems of medicine.

The camp was inaugurated by Mayor Shri Madhusudan Yadav, who expressed happiness over the initiative and extended gratitude to the AYUSH Department. He urged residents to make full use of such camps for their health and wellbeing. On the occasion, Mayor Yadav also planted a sapling under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, promoting environmental awareness.
District AYUSH Officer Dr. Shilpa Mishra delivered the vote of thanks, appreciating the cooperation of doctors, staff, and citizens.

During the camp, a total of 243 patients underwent health checkups, received necessary medicines, and were provided with health consultations. This included 97 patients treated through Ayurveda, 84 through Homeopathy, 62 through Unani, and 36 individuals who underwent natural health assessments. Additionally, around 300 people were served with AYUSH herbal kadha to boost immunity and health awareness.
The camp witnessed the presence of public representatives including Councillor Shri Sawan Verma, Shri Kamlesh Bandhe, and Shri Manohar Yadav, along with a large gathering of citizens.

Medical services at the camp were rendered by Dr. Harsha Baraiya (In-charge, Government AYUSH Polyclinic & Homeopathy), Ayurveda specialists Dr. Harsh Kumar Sahu and Dr. Namrata Koile, Unani physician Dr. Rubina Shaheen Ansari, along with supporting staff including nursing sister Smt. Hemlata Bara, pharmacists Smt. Chhaya Pyasi, Smt. Teenu Diwan, Smt. V.V. Kriti Hari, Shri Devdas Sahu, dispensary assistants Shri Foulesh Kumar Nirmalkar, Shri Dujlal Kunjam, Shri Shatrughan Ram Yadav, Shri Dilip Kumar Nimte, Shri Somkant Chandrakar, and Shri Rohan Patel.
The camp highlighted the significance of traditional medicine systems in community healthcare while promoting awareness on holistic well-being.
