Gaurinagar Underpass Water to Be Cleared Within 24 Hours; Service Lane at Bakal Overbridge to Begin Soon

Railway-related public utility works in Rajnandgaon city and surrounding areas have begun receiving immediate attention following an initiative by Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker and Rajnandgaon MLA Dr. Raman Singh, with the administration and railway authorities taking up pending issues for action.
During a meeting with railway officials, Dr. Raman Singh raised various issues concerning the city and rural areas and emphasised that works directly linked to public convenience should be completed on priority.
Immediate Action at Gaurinagar Underpass
The impact of the meeting was visible soon after the discussions, with the district administration and Municipal Corporation mobilising resources to remove water accumulated at the Gaurinagar underpass following rainfall.
Necessary machinery has been deployed with the support of concerned industrial establishments for water drainage. The administration has set a target of clearing the water from the underpass within 24 hours.
The removal of water is expected to facilitate the railway’s subsequent work at the site. Coordination between the district administration and railway authorities is continuing in this regard.
Bakal Overbridge Service Lane to Be Taken Up Soon
The service lane of the overbridge in the Bakal area was also among the key issues discussed during the meeting.
According to the information provided, the railway is expected to begin the service-lane construction work soon. Once completed, the service lane will facilitate movement for residents in the area as well as nearby farmers.
