In a proactive effort to assess grassroots employment and skill development, District Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure paid a surprise visit to Shri Sai Weaver Cooperative Society Ltd., located in Rewadih village under the Rajnandgaon development block. The visit focused on the inspection of weaving activities, particularly related to the production of school uniforms and other fabric goods.

During the visit, the Collector observed the operations inside the weaver workshop, where more than 250 weavers, including around 50 women, are actively engaged in fabric production. The society is working under the Chhattisgarh State Handloom Development and Marketing Cooperative Federation Ltd., Raipur, which supplies yarn and procures the final products under its government clothing supply scheme.

Many of the weavers expressed their satisfaction with the availability of employment opportunities within their village, enabling them to earn a decent livelihood through skilled work.
