Member of Parliament Shri Santosh Pandey conducted a field inspection of various water conservation structures under the Mission Jal Raksha initiative in Farhad village of Janpad Panchayat Rajnandgaon. Amid heavy rainfall, the MP closely examined the technical aspects and practical utility of several groundwater recharge structures such as percolation tanks, injection wells, and hand pump-based soft recharge tanks.
During his visit, Shri Pandey interacted with engineers, officials, and local villagers, urging them to adopt water conservation as a people’s movement. He stated, “Water is life, and through Mission Jal Raksha, we are laying the foundation to secure our future water needs. This is not just an infrastructural project but also a step toward raising social awareness that will benefit future generations.”

The MP especially appreciated the injection wells integrated into the percolation tanks, noting that rainwater will now directly seep into the groundwater table. He also praised the innovative use of hand pump-based recharge structures, describing them as a novel approach to groundwater replenishment.
