In a resounding endorsement of India’s military prowess, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has praised the Indian Armed Forces for their execution of Operation Sindoor, likening it to the historic U.S. operation that eliminated Osama bin Laden, known as Laden Wadh. Speaking at an event in Delhi, Dhankhar called the operation a “global benchmark” in counterterrorism, spotlighting its precision and effectiveness in neutralizing terrorist threats.
A Triumph of Precision and Valor
Operation Sindoor was launched in response to the tragic Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives. The Indian military responded with a meticulously planned operation, conducting 24 precision strikes on nine terror hubs across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The result? The elimination of over 100 terrorists, including high-value targets linked to previous attacks on India.
Dhankhar emphasized the operation’s surgical accuracy, stating, “A strike that was carefully, precisely calibrated to cause no damage except to the terrorist.” This approach not only dismantled key terror networks but also minimized civilian impact, earning widespread praise for the armed forces’ restraint and skill. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh echoed this sentiment, commending the forces for their “valor and precision” in safeguarding the nation.
A Bold Comparison to the Bin Laden Mission

By comparing Operation Sindoor to the U.S. mission that took down Osama bin Laden, Vice President Dhankhar underscored India’s growing assertiveness in tackling cross-border terrorism. Much like the covert American operation in Pakistan, Operation Sindoor demonstrated India’s ability to deliver a decisive blow against high-value terrorist targets with remarkable efficiency. This parallel highlights the operation’s significance as a landmark achievement in India’s fight against terrorism.
International Recognition and India’s Resolve
The operation has garnered attention on the global stage. While some countries expressed concern over regional tensions, others, including former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, have supported India’s right to self-defense. The U.S., while advocating restraint, has implicitly acknowledged the legitimacy of India’s targeted retaliation. Dhankhar’s remarks reinforce India’s stance that Operation Sindoor was a one-off, calculated response to terrorism—not an escalation.

A Shining Example of National Strength
Operation Sindoor stands as a testament to the bravery, capability, and resolve of the Indian Armed Forces. With the Vice President’s glowing praise and the operation’s resounding success, India has sent a powerful message: it will not waver in protecting its sovereignty. As the nation moves forward, this landmark operation will be remembered as a defining moment in its unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism.
