Athletes from all five divisions compete in hockey, badminton, yoga and cricket events from September 24 to 27

Four-Day State-Level School Sports Meet
The 26th State-Level School Sports Competition 2026 is being organised in Rajnandgaon district from September 24 to 27, 2026.
Players from all five divisions of Chhattisgarh — Bastar, Bilaspur, Surguja, Raipur and host Durg — are participating in the competition.
The 17-year boys’ and girls’ hockey events are being conducted at Shri Gurunanak School, while Yoga for boys and girls in the Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 categories, Badminton for Under-14 boys and girls, and Under-19 boys’ cricket are being organised at Digvijay Stadium.
Bilaspur and Raipur Reach Badminton Final
The Under-14 boys’ badminton category witnessed competitive matches between teams from different divisions, with players displaying strong skills, discipline and sporting spirit.
In the badminton matches, Bilaspur defeated Raipur 2-0, while Durg defeated Surguja 2-0. Bastar defeated Surguja 2-1, while Durg defeated Bastar 2-0.
In the semi-finals, Bilaspur defeated Bastar 2-0 to enter the final. In the second semi-final, Raipur defeated Durg 2-1 to secure its place in the final.
Raipur Leads Traditional Yogasana Events
In the Under-14 boys’ individual Traditional Yogasana category, Raipur Division secured first place, followed by Durg in second and Bilaspur in third.
In the Under-14 girls’ category, Raipur finished first, Durg second and Bilaspur third.
In the Under-17 boys’ individual Traditional Yogasana category, Raipur secured first place, Bilaspur finished second and Bastar took third place.
In the Under-17 girls’ category, Raipur secured first place with its players displaying their skills. Bilaspur finished second, while Durg secured third place.
In the Under-19 boys’ individual Traditional Yogasana category, Raipur finished first, Durg second and Bilaspur third.
In the Under-19 girls’ category, Raipur secured first place, followed by Bilaspur in second and Durg in third.
Competitive Hockey Matches Witnessed
The Under-17 boys’ hockey competition also saw closely contested matches.
The match between Surguja and Bilaspur ended in a 0-0 draw. The match between Bastar and Raipur ended 1-1, while Durg defeated Bastar 6-0.
In the Under-17 girls’ hockey category, Bilaspur defeated Surguja 3-2.
Bastar defeated Raipur 4-1, while Durg secured a 3-0 victory over Bastar.
Players Display Skill and Sporting Spirit
The ongoing state-level competition has brought together school-level players from across the five divisions of Chhattisgarh.
Across the different sporting disciplines, participating players have demonstrated sporting skills, discipline and sportsmanship as the competition progresses towards its concluding stages.
