One-day cyber training programme held to strengthen complaint resolution, prevention and timely restoration of funds lost to online fraud

One-Day Cyber Training Programme Organised
With a focus on the prompt resolution of complaints related to cybercrime and the timely identification, prevention and recovery of money lost in cyber fraud, a one-day cyber training programme was organised at the Rajnandgaon Range.
The programme was held at Mangal Bhawan, Reserve Centre, Rajnandgaon, under the direction of Inspector General of Police, Rajnandgaon Range, Ajay Kumar Yadav (IPS).
During the training, Additional Superintendent of Police, Technical Services, Police Headquarters, Raipur, Kavi Gupta, briefed police officers and personnel on procedures for the effective resolution of complaints related to cybercrime.
Focus on GRM and MRM Modules
Special emphasis was placed on the effective use of GRM (Grievance Redressal Mechanism) and MRM (Money Restoration Module) during the training.
Officers were provided practical guidance on procedures to make the response more effective after receiving a cyber fraud complaint. This included the prompt identification of the defrauded amount, measures to prevent further loss and the process for facilitating the return of the money to the victim.
The training also covered the procedures required for immediate action on cybercrime complaints, timely disposal of cases and early identification and recovery of funds lost in cyber fraud.
Police Personnel from Four Districts Participate
Nominated police officers and personnel ranging from Head Constable to Inspector level from the Rajnandgaon, Kabirdham, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai and Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki districts participated in the programme.
Apart from the personnel attending the programme in person, officers and employees from various districts of the range also joined the training through video conferencing.
Emphasis on Timely Assistance to Cybercrime Victims
During the programme, detailed guidance was provided on the procedures required for immediate action on complaints filed by cybercrime victims, timely resolution of cases and early identification and recovery of money lost through cyber fraud.
In view of the increasing incidence of cybercrime, the police department emphasised strengthening the process of providing prompt assistance to victims, time-bound resolution of complaints and recovery of defrauded funds.
The primary objective of the training was to enhance police efficiency in dealing with cybercrime and ensure that victims receive relief at the earliest possible stage.
