Campaign to Run from September 17 to October 17; Minister Calls for Wider Public Participation and Effective Implementation of Activities

School Education Minister and Rajnandgaon district in-charge minister Gajendra Yadav chaired a joint meeting of officials and public representatives at the New Circuit House in Rajnandgaon on Thursday to review preparations for the Seva Sankalp Campaign, scheduled to be conducted from September 17 to October 17, 2026.
During the meeting, Collector Jitendra Yadav made a PowerPoint presentation and provided detailed information about the activities planned across the district and the proposed action plan.
The in-charge minister said the Seva Sankalp Campaign should not remain a formal programme but should evolve into a broad-based campaign rooted in public participation and the spirit of service. He directed officials and public representatives to ensure effective implementation of all activities under the campaign.

‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ to Mark Campaign Launch
Gajendra Yadav said the campaign would begin with the Aashirwad Ka Diya programme. He directed officials to complete preparations in an organised manner for lamp-lighting ceremonies in 25 selected gram panchayats of the district.
He also directed preparations for lighting approximately one lakh lamps at Rani Sagar pond in Rajnandgaon and 25,000 lamps in Dongargarh. He stressed the need to ensure maximum participation of self-help groups, public representatives and local residents in the programme.
Focus on Students, Development and Artificial Intelligence
Regarding the ‘Mere Sapno Ka Bharat’ painting and essay competition, the minister directed that students be connected with subjects covering India’s past, present and future, along with the development journey and achievements of Chhattisgarh and Rajnandgaon, technology and Artificial Intelligence.
He also directed that the ‘Namo Seva Ankahi Kahaniyan’ initiative be used to bring forward inspiring stories of beneficiaries who have benefited from government schemes. He called for the use of smart-learning and LED facilities available in schools for the campaign.
Angan Milan Seva to Focus on Nutrition and Health
The minister said Angan Milan Seva should not be treated merely as a formal event and should instead be linked with awareness on nutrition, health and values.
He directed that discussions on the health and nutrition of children and pregnant women be organised at Anganwadi centres.
Under ‘Seva Ki Kahani’, ‘Seva Sankalp Yatra’ and ‘Seva Mera Yogdan’, he called for connecting the district’s achievements and local development works with public participation.
He also directed that permanent service-oriented activities such as cleanliness, beautification and, where required, voluntary labour be undertaken at schools, hospitals and other public buildings.
The minister called for water conservation to be made a major theme of the campaign.
Pending Eligible Cases to Be Resolved Before Camps
Under the Seva Setu Campaign, Gajendra Yadav directed officials to resolve pending and eligible cases in advance so that beneficiaries could receive direct benefits at the camps.
He stressed that equally effective programmes should be organised across all development blocks and called for active participation of public representatives.

He also directed officials to undertake extensive promotion through social media of government schemes, district achievements and positive success stories of beneficiaries.
The minister said the core objective of the Seva Sankalp Campaign is to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person and to strengthen the spirit of service through the collective participation of the administration, public representatives and society.
Public Representatives and Officials Attend Meeting
The meeting was attended by Mayor Madhusudan Yadav, District Panchayat President Kiran Vaishnav, Janpad Panchayat President Pratima Chandrakar, District Cooperative Central Bank Chairman Sachin Baghel, Rajgami Sampada Trust Chairperson Purnima Sahu, Komal Singh Rajput, Santosh Agrawal, Saurabh Kothari, Inspector General of Police Ajay Kumar Yadav, Superintendent of Police Ankita Sharma, CEO, District Panchayat Durga Prasad Adhikari, along with other public representatives and officials.
