Directs Promotion of Low-Water Crops, Accelerated HPV Vaccination and Time-Bound Disposal of Public Grievances

Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav reviewed the progress of departmental works and priority government schemes during the weekly Time-Limit Review Meeting held at the Collectorate on Tuesday. He directed officials to ensure effective implementation of all schemes and timely, quality disposal of pending cases.
The Collector instructed departments to carry out the girdawari (crop survey) exercise with greater efficiency than the previous year by preparing comprehensive action plans. He also reviewed preparations for the district’s plantation campaign, seeking updates on the availability of saplings, identification of plantation sites and department-wise targets. Officials were directed to complete plantation activities within the stipulated timeline while maintaining quality standards.
Reviewing the status of CM Helpline 1076, public grievances, applications received under Sushasan Tihar, and other pending matters, the Collector instructed departments to ensure time-bound disposal through regular online monitoring. He also directed officials to prioritise the Aadhaar verification of students enrolled in all schools across the district.
Push for PM Surya Ghar Yojana Implementation
Collector Yadav directed officials to expedite the verification of applications received under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and accelerate the installation of rooftop solar panels for eligible beneficiaries. He also instructed departments to organise regular Surya Ghar awareness meetings in urban wards and gram panchayats to increase public participation in the scheme.
He informed the meeting that 3,959 households in the district have so far installed rooftop solar panels, enabling beneficiaries to become energy producers while earning additional income through surplus power generation. Officials were instructed to intensify efforts to extend the scheme’s benefits to more eligible households.
The Collector also directed all urban local bodies to speed up the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri SVANidhi Yojana and ensure regular cleaning of drains to prevent waterlogging during the monsoon season.

Focus on Nutrition, Maternal Health and HPV Vaccination
Reviewing the district’s Malnutrition-Free Campaign, the Collector instructed officials to give special attention to children’s health and intensify efforts to bring all malnourished children into the well-nourished category. He also directed that gram panchayats and Anganwadi centres achieving 100% malnutrition-free status be recognised.
During the health department review, Yadav instructed officials to ensure mandatory screening of high-risk pregnant women, timely sonography, uninterrupted availability of medicines and treatment, and daily health monitoring through mobile-based tracking.
Reviewing the HPV vaccination campaign, he informed that 4,777 adolescent girls have been vaccinated in the district so far. He directed officials to prepare school-wise rosters and further accelerate the immunisation drive.
Promoting Crop Diversification
The Collector asked the Agriculture Department to encourage farmers to cultivate pulses and oilseeds instead of water-intensive paddy and ensure the availability of adequate seed supplies. He informed the meeting that 61% of the sowing has already been completed in the district.
He also instructed officials to create awareness among farmers regarding the benefits of using Nano Urea and Nano DAP fertilisers.
Review of Agniveer Recruitment and Residential Schools
The meeting also reviewed the district’s performance in the Agniveer recruitment process. The Collector sought details regarding registrations and selections and directed officials to honour candidates selected during the previous recruitment cycle.
He further instructed regular inspections of all Ashram schools and hostels and reviewed the admission process at the Prayas Residential School, along with coaching arrangements for NEET, JEE and other competitive examinations.
The meeting was attended by District Panchayat CEO Durga Prasad Adhikari, Additional Collector C.L. Markandey, Additional Collector Prem Prakash Sharma, and other district-level officials.
