Development push under PMGSY Phase-IV strengthens rural connectivity and expands digital access across villages

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai virtually laid the foundation stone for multiple development works under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (Phase-IV) on Saturday and inaugurated Atal Digital Service Centres, providing a significant boost to road connectivity and digital services in the district.
The initiatives are aimed at improving rural infrastructure and ensuring easier access to government and digital facilities for villagers.
Foundation Stone for Rural Road Projects
Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, road construction works covering a total length of 3.9 kilometres were launched in the Chhuriya Janpad Panchayat area at an estimated cost of ₹3 crore 87 lakh 3 thousand.
The projects include:
- 1 kilometre road from Karmari to Gwalindih
- 2.9 kilometre road from Navagaon to Masuljob
These roads are expected to significantly enhance transportation facilities and improve connectivity between rural settlements.
Launch of Atal Digital Service Centres
Along with road projects, 15 Atal Digital Service Centres were inaugurated across the district. Each centre has been constructed at a cost of ₹5 lakh per building, with a total investment of ₹75 lakh.
The centres will provide multiple digital services to rural residents at a single location, helping bridge the digital divide and enabling easier access to government schemes and online services.
Focus on Rural Development and Digital Inclusion
Speaking during the programme held at the Janpad Panchayat Chhuriya auditorium, Janpad Panchayat President Sanjay Sinha said the new road projects would improve transportation facilities in rural areas and accelerate overall development.
He added that the digital service centres would play a vital role in connecting villagers with modern digital services and administrative facilities.
Public Representatives and Officials Present
The programme witnessed the presence of several public representatives and officials, including District Panchayat members Gopal Singh Bhuarya, Anita Mandavi, Biram Bai Mandavi, Janpad member Rekha Bai Gandharv, along with other officials and a large number of local residents.
