Minor Rape Accused Arrested from Hyderabad; Police Achieve Breakthrough Under Operation “Muskan”

Rajnandgaon Police rescue minor girl safely; accused sent to judicial custody under BNS and POCSO Act

Rajnandgaon Police have arrested an accused involved in abducting and sexually exploiting a minor girl after luring her away. The accused, identified as Deepak Kande, a resident of Jhalmala under Pipariya Police Station in Kabirdham district, was apprehended from Hyderabad, Telangana. The minor girl was also safely rescued from the accused’s custody.


Case Registered After Father’s Complaint

The case dates back to December 24, 2025, when the victim’s father lodged a complaint at Dongargarh Police Station reporting the disappearance of his minor daughter. Initially, the case was registered as an abduction.

Acting under Operation “Muskan,” the police team traced the accused’s location and carried out a successful operation in Hyderabad.


Investigation Reveals Sexual Exploitation

During the course of investigation, police found that the accused had allegedly lured the minor girl by promising marriage and later subjected her to physical exploitation.

Following the investigation, legal action was initiated against the accused under Section 137(2) and 64(2)(m) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Sections 4 and 6 of the POCSO Act.

The accused was produced before the court, from where he was remanded to judicial custody and sent to jail.


Police Team Behind the Operation

The successful operation was conducted under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Ankita Sharma, Additional Superintendent of Police Kirtan Rathore, and SDOP Keshari Nandan Nayak.

The operation was led by Trainee DSP Suman Jaiswal, with significant contributions from Sub-Inspector Rameshwari Baghel, Mujeeb Rahman Qureshi, and Woman Constable Archana Tiwari.
