Focus on Pilgrim Facilities, Food Safety Checks, Healthcare Services, and Administrative Efficiency in Rajnandgaon

District Collector Jitendra Yadav chaired the weekly time-limit review meeting at the Collectorate, issuing a series of directives aimed at strengthening governance, improving public service delivery, and ensuring effective implementation of government schemes at the grassroots level.
During the बैठक, the Collector instructed all departmental officers to conduct regular field inspections every Saturday to assess on-ground implementation and ensure that the benefits of schemes reach the last mile.
Preparations for Navratri Festival
With Chaitra Navratri approaching, the Collector directed officials to complete all necessary arrangements in advance. He emphasized ensuring proper cleanliness, adequate lighting, and deployment of health teams at service camps along pilgrim routes to avoid any inconvenience to devotees.
Strict Monitoring of Food Safety
The administration has been asked to intensify inspections of food shops and establishments. The Collector ordered strict कार्रवाई against those found guilty of food adulteration or selling expired items, stressing the need to safeguard public health. Regular checks of fair price shops were also mandated, with strict action for any irregularities.
Healthcare and Welfare Measures
The Collector directed officials to ensure hygienic and quality food for patients in district hospitals. He also emphasized regular follow-ups under the Chirayu Yojana for children’s treatment.
Highlighting preventive healthcare, he noted that under the HPV Vaccination Programme, free vaccination is being provided to girls to prevent cervical cancer.

Further instructions included regular inspections of hostels, availability of first-aid kits, and display of nearby hospital information for emergencies.
Aadhaar Update and Education Initiatives
The Collector directed that Aadhaar updation for all Anganwadi and school children be completed on priority. Schools have been instructed to organize special camps and ensure 100% coverage within the stipulated timeline.
Cleanliness and Law Enforcement Measures
Urban bodies have been asked to identify dumping points and promote cleanliness through awareness campaigns, including wall paintings and slogans.
In addition, strict action was ordered against illegally operating motor pumps along riverbanks, with immediate seizure directives. The transport department was instructed to intensify checks against illegal transportation and enforce helmet rules for two-wheeler riders through challans.
Agricultural and Administrative Focus
The Collector also directed officials to expedite paddy procurement and lifting operations by setting clear targets to avoid delays.
Senior officials including Additional Collectors C.L. Markandey and Prem Prakash Sharma, Municipal Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma, SDM Dongargarh M. Bhargava, and other district अधिकारियों were present during the meeting.
