In a remarkable example of community healthcare service, Navjeevan Multispeciality Hospital organized a three-day free mega health camp, benefiting nearly 1,500 patients and setting a new benchmark in public medical outreach.

Held from March 13 to March 15, the camp witnessed an overwhelming response, with thousands of people from Rajnandgaon and nearby regions thronging the venue. The initiative stood out for offering a wide range of diagnostic and treatment services entirely free of cost, including सोनोग्राफी, ईसीजी, शुगर टेस्ट, इको टेस्ट, एंडोस्कोपी और कोलोनोस्कोपी.

Advanced Care and Specialist Support
A team of more than a dozen specialist doctors remained dedicated throughout the camp, delivering comprehensive medical care across multiple disciplines. Among them, noted endoscopy expert Dr. M. K. Diwakar performed endoscopic procedures on several patients suffering from gastrointestinal issues, providing immediate relief.

The camp also covered a wide spectrum of treatments, including ENT, dental care, oncology, neurology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, dermatology, and general medicine. Patients not only received consultations but also benefited from free diagnostic tests, making it a holistic healthcare initiative.

Strong Participation, Rising Demand
According to organizer Dr. Chetan Sahu, the camp saw a daily turnout of 350 to 450 patients, with the final day alone recording over 500 beneficiaries. The response was so overwhelming that the venue remained crowded throughout, with services continuing non-stop from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Community-Driven Initiative
The primary objective of the camp was social service and accessible healthcare. The initiative received support from several organizations and community groups, reflecting a strong collaborative effort.

Social worker Sharda Tiwari and councillor Mani Bhaskar Gupta visited the camp and appreciated the efforts of the medical team.

Inclusive Healthcare Facilities
Special arrangements were made for women, with a dedicated consultation room managed by gynecology specialists. Additionally, medicines prescribed during the camp were made available at a discounted rate, further easing the financial burden on patients.

Patients from surrounding areas such as Dongargarh, Ambagarh Chowki, Khairagarh, Manpur, and Mohla also attended in large numbers, highlighting the camp’s regional impact.

Conclusion
The success of this mega health camp underscores the importance of accessible and affordable healthcare initiatives. By combining expert medical care with community participation, the effort has not only treated patients but also strengthened trust in healthcare outreach programs.
