Leaders highlight government initiatives for agriculture and urge party workers to actively address farmers’ issues

The first introductory meeting of the district unit of the BJP Kisan Morcha was held in a dignified atmosphere at the BJP office in Rajnandgaon. The program began with the ceremonial garlanding of portraits of Deendayal Upadhyaya and Syama Prasad Mukherjee along with Bharat Mata, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
The event was inaugurated by chief guest and Member of Parliament Santosh Pandey in the presence of BJP district president Komal Singh Rajput, state minister Mulchand Lodhi, BJP leader Ravi Sinha, state spokesperson of Kisan Morcha Kailash Sharma and district Kisan Morcha president Daddu Sonkar. The proceedings were conducted by district general secretary Manish Soni.
Modi Government Making Farming Profitable: Santosh Pandey
Addressing the gathering, MP Santosh Pandey said the Kisan Morcha plays a crucial role in strengthening the voice of farmers. He urged office-bearers to actively raise farmers’ issues through the organization and work towards effective solutions.
Highlighting the slogan “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan and Jai Vigyan,” Pandey said the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is promoting innovation in agriculture and encouraging organic farming as a sustainable solution for the future. He also called upon party workers to ensure that the benefits of the government’s welfare schemes reach farmers in the most remote areas.
BJP Criticizes Congress Over Farmer Policies
BJP district president Komal Singh Rajput criticized the Congress party, claiming that anti-farmer policies had long been part of its political approach. He said that during previous administrations farmers often received payments for paddy procurement in installments and had to purchase gunny bags themselves.
Rajput asserted that under the current BJP-led government, farmers are receiving record prices for paddy and payments are being transferred directly to their bank accounts in a single installment.

Emphasis on Organization and Outreach
State minister Mulchand Lodhi explained the provisions and implementation of the MGNREGA scheme in simple terms, while Kisan Morcha state spokesperson Kailash Sharma emphasized the need for wider awareness and promotion of government welfare schemes.
District Kisan Morcha president Daddu Sonkar said that for the first time several new organizational initiatives have been introduced in the district to create a strong team dedicated to farmers’ welfare.
At the end of the meeting, office-bearers collectively pledged to strengthen the organization and work continuously for the welfare and empowerment of farmers.

Among those present at the meeting were BJP district vice president Tarun Laharwani, district general secretary Ghasiram Sahu, vice presidents Anand Sahu and Pratiksha Bhandari, Ashutosh Singh Thakur, councillor and president of Shivnath Science College student body Ravi Sinha, Vijendra Singh Thakur, Vivek Sharma, district ministers Raja Rajput, Kishor Yadav, Gopi Prasad Deshmukh, co-convenor Gappu Sonkar, treasurer Bhavesh Varu and media in-charge Satish Yadav along with several other party workers.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by district general secretary Ghasiram Sahu.
