Strict action warned against delays; officials directed to maintain construction standards across all sites

With an objective to ensure progress and quality in ongoing government infrastructure projects, Mohla Collector Tulika Prajapati carried out a comprehensive field inspection of various under-construction government buildings across the district on Wednesday.
During the visit, the Collector reviewed the progress of key projects including the Joint Collector Office, EVM Warehouse, Warehouse Modigpeding Dhenu, Public Works Department residential quarters, District Panchayat Building, District Panchayat Resource Centre (DPRC), and the Police Line.
She interacted with concerned officials at each site, sought detailed updates on construction progress, and issued necessary directions to accelerate work while adhering to prescribed timelines.

Emphasising that government buildings directly serve public interest, Collector Prajapati instructed executing agencies to ensure that quality is not compromised at any stage. She further directed that construction materials used must strictly conform to approved standards.
The Collector also warned that failure to complete works within stipulated timelines would invite penal action as per rules, underscoring the administration’s zero-tolerance approach toward negligence in public infrastructure projects.
CEO, District Panchayat Bharati Chandrakar, Additional Collector G.R. Markam, Executive Engineer (PWD) Ritu Khare, along with officials from concerned departments, were present during the inspection.
