The farmer-friendly state government has reiterated its commitment to paddy procurement, delivering on its promise while strengthening farmers’ confidence across the state. Under the ongoing Kharif Marketing Year 2025–26 procurement drive, paddy is being purchased at ₹3,100 per quintal under the Minimum Support Price and Krishak Unnati Yojana, with eligibility capped at 21 quintals per acre.

The large-scale procurement campaign has generated widespread enthusiasm among farmers. So far, 23.48 lakh farmers have sold their paddy, and an amount of ₹29,597 crore has already been transferred to their accounts. Notably, payments for paddy sold at MSP are being credited within 48 hours, providing timely financial support to cultivators.

Officials said that over the next three days, paddy procurement will be carried out from nearly 1.5 lakh additional farmers. To streamline the process, more than 70,000 tokens will be issued during this period, averaging around 22,000 tokens per day, enabling farmers to sell their produce in an organised and hassle-free manner.
At present, the state is procuring approximately 3 lakh metric tonnes of paddy every day, reflecting the scale and efficiency of the ongoing procurement operation. The government maintains that the initiative aims not only to ensure fair prices for farmers but also to strengthen rural livelihoods by guaranteeing prompt payments and transparent procurement mechanisms.

The administration continues to monitor procurement centres closely to ensure smooth operations, timely token distribution, and uninterrupted payment processing, reinforcing its stated objective of farmer welfare and agricultural growth.
