Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Ms Ankita Sharma and the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Mr Pushpendra Nayak, the programme was conducted under the leadership of Traffic In-charge Navratan Kashyap. A rangoli competition on the theme “Road Safety Management” was organised at the Traffic Office, Rajnandgaon, in which around 190 students from various schools across the city participated.

Through their artwork, students effectively highlighted key road safety messages such as wearing helmets, using seat belts, controlling speed and practising safe driving. The competition was judged by Mr Ritesh Devangan of Yamini Art Centre and Mr Punararam Yadav, Principal of Jangalpur School, who lauded the creativity and understanding displayed by the participants.

In another major activity, a joint awareness rally by the Traffic Police and Scout-Guide organisations was taken out across the city to sensitise the general public about traffic norms. During the rally, two-wheeler riders found wearing helmets were felicitated with roses at major intersections, while other motorists were motivated to strictly follow traffic rules.
