Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav has directed officials to ensure that farmers do not face any difficulty while selling paddy at procurement centres, stressing that quick and effective resolution of farmers’ problems must remain the top priority.

Chairing a review meeting at the Collectorate conference hall, the Collector interacted with Rural Agriculture Extension Officers, Patwaris, Cooperative Society Managers and Data Entry Operators in view of the ongoing paddy procurement process. He described paddy procurement as a crucial government responsibility and instructed all officials and staff to work actively and responsibly during the remaining procurement days.

Collector Yadav categorically instructed that only genuine farmers’ clean and quality paddy should be procured, leaving no scope for errors or malpractice. He emphasised maintaining courteous behaviour with farmers during verification, and directed officials to carry out regular data entry, physical verification and inspections to ensure transparency.
