MLA Purandar Mishra and Mayor Meenal Chaubey Interact with Youth Delegates in the Exchange Program

The Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS), under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, is organizing the Youth Exchange Program (2024-25). As part of this program, a delegation of youth from Bastar, Chhattisgarh, has arrived to participate. This program is scheduled to be held from February 24, 2025, to February 28, 2025, at Maharashtra Mandal, Chaubey Colony, Raipur.

Hon’ble MLA of Raipur region, Shri Purandar Mishra, met the young participants and emphasized the significance of the Youth Exchange Program for empowering youth. He stated that this initiative is highly beneficial in educating and raising awareness among young individuals. He further pointed out that today’s youth are increasingly affected by the misuse of mobile phones, leading to distraction from the right path. In such a scenario, it is crucial for the youth to practice self-reflection, choose the right direction, and contribute to nation-building.

Newly elected Mayor of Raipur, Smt. Meenal Chaubey, was also present at the event. She appreciated the continuous efforts of Nehru Yuva Kendra in organizing such programs for youth development. She highlighted that Chhattisgarh’s culture is rich and prosperous, and it is essential for the younger generation to understand and promote it. She urged the youth to work with dedication and perseverance for the progress of Chhattisgarh.

Shri Ajay Kale, President of Maharashtra Mandal, also graced the event. Addressing the youth, he stated that such initiatives will strengthen national unity and integrity while realizing the vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.”

Shri Atul Nikam, State Director of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Chhattisgarh, shared that he has been a part of the Youth Exchange Program for the past 35 years, and such initiatives play a significant role in youth empowerment.

Shri Arpit Tiwari, Deputy Director of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Raipur, outlined the program’s framework, stating that this unique initiative fosters cultural exchange, traditions, and customs between different states, thereby enhancing mutual understanding and strengthening bonds. The program aims to encourage cultural exchange among youth and develop a deeper understanding of language, cuisine, and other activities.

Sunita Chansoria, Assistant Professor at Durga College, conducted an engaging discussion with the youth on effective communication and imparted essential interpersonal skills.

The event witnessed the presence of officials from Nehru Yuva Kendra, My Bharat, volunteers, and other dignitaries.
