Inspects Nalanda Campus, Ranisagar Lake, SLRM Centre, STP Facility and 120 MW Solar Power Plant; Emphasizes Quality and Timely Completion

Secretary Reviews Ongoing Development Projects
Secretary of the Urban Administration and Development Department, Ms. R. Sangeeta, today inspected various development works and infrastructure projects across Rajnandgaon city. Mayor Madhusudan Yadav and Collector Jitendra Yadav were present during the visit.
As part of the State Government’s priority initiatives, the Secretary reviewed the progress of the under-construction Nalanda Campus and sought detailed information regarding the status of construction activities.

Focus on Timely and Quality Completion of Nalanda Campus
During the inspection, Ms. Sangeeta directed officials to ensure that the Nalanda Campus is completed within the stipulated timeline while maintaining high-quality construction standards.
She further instructed authorities to initiate preparations for the operation of the library and canteen three to four months before the completion of the building and to ensure that all required facilities are established with optimum quality standards.
As part of the visit, she also participated in a plantation drive within the campus premises.
Ranisagar Beautification Plan Reviewed
The Secretary inspected Ranisagar, one of the city’s prominent water bodies, and reviewed the proposed beautification plan for the area.

She directed shopkeepers operating around the lake to maintain cleanliness and refrain from disposing of waste into the water body. Officials were instructed to ensure adequate arrangements for waste management in and around the area.
Inspection of SLRM Centre and Waste Management Operations
Ms. Sangeeta also visited the 18-acre Solid Liquid Resource Management (SLRM) Centre in Rajnandgaon and interacted with Swachhata Didis to understand the process of collecting and managing wet and dry waste.
She directed all sanitation workers to strictly adhere to safety protocols while performing their duties and emphasized the importance of maintaining safe working conditions.
Review of Septage Treatment Facility Under AMRUT 2.0
As part of the AMRUT 2.0 Mission, the Secretary inspected the MLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) located at Mohara-Singdai under the Septage Management Scheme.

She reviewed the operational arrangements and assessed the functioning of the facility to ensure effective wastewater management in the region.
120 MW Solar Power Plant Also Inspected
Following the inspections of urban infrastructure projects, Ms. Sangeeta visited the 120 MW Solar Power Plant located near Tumdibod Dhaba.
She reviewed various aspects of the renewable energy project and obtained detailed information regarding its implementation and operational framework.
Senior Officials Accompany Inspection Team
The inspection was attended by Director of Urban Administration R. Ekka, State Urban Development Authority CEO Shashank Pandey, Deputy Executive Officers Sachit Sahu and Sunil Agrahari, Joint Director of the Regional Office Durg Jai Prakash Sahu, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma, and other senior officials.
The visit formed part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to monitor priority infrastructure projects and ensure their timely completion for the benefit of citizens.
