Major Milestone for Legal Education in Rajnandgaon
Rajnandgaon has achieved a significant milestone in the field of higher education with the approval of the long-awaited Master of Laws (LLM) programme.
The Higher Education Department of the Government of Chhattisgarh has granted permission for the commencement of LLM classes, further strengthening the educational profile of Nandgaon Shiksha Mandal and expanding opportunities for aspiring legal professionals in the region.
Approval Granted for 25 LLM Seats
The approval allows Pt. Kishorilal Shukla Law College to offer the postgraduate law programme with an intake capacity of 25 students.
The decision is expected to open new avenues for law graduates seeking advanced legal education without having to relocate to larger cities. Students will be able to enroll in the LLM programme from the academic session 2026-27.
Additional Seats for LLB Programme
Nandgaon Shiksha Mandal President and Advocate Suresh H. Lal informed that the three-year LLB programme conducted by Pt. Kishorilal Shukla Law College has also been allotted 40 additional seats.
He stated that the approval of a prestigious postgraduate programme such as LLM marks an important achievement for the institution and reflects its commitment to expanding quality legal education.
Recognition of Efforts Behind the Approval
Nandgaon Shiksha Mandal expressed gratitude for the efforts made toward securing recognition for the LLM programme in Rajnandgaon.
The institution particularly acknowledged the contribution of Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh in facilitating the approval process. It also appreciated the support extended by local administration officials and public representatives who contributed to the initiative.
