A Surya Sabha was organised in Keshotola village of Chhuriya block to promote the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. Collector Jitendra Yadav explained the registration, vendor selection, loan, subsidy and billing process to villagers. Rajnandgaon district has so far received 10,698 applications, with 5,036 solar plants installed and 3,575 beneficiaries receiving subsidies. During the programme, 200 fruit-bearing saplings, including mango, guava and amla, were also planted under the Awas Vatika initiative.

Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav reviewed revenue works and government schemes during a meeting with revenue officials and directed them to ensure timely, quality and legally compliant disposal of cases. The initiative is being implemented through the joint efforts of the Health Department and the Women and Child Development Department under the guidance of the district administration.

Rajnandgaon has achieved a major milestone in the fight against malnutrition, with 299 Anganwadi centres declared completely malnutrition-free and no severely malnourished or severely underweight children reported across 1,184 centres.

Rajnandgaon district has stocked 14,686 quintals of seeds and over 63,700 metric tonnes of fertilisers for the Kharif 2026 season. More than 13,700 quintals of seeds and 80% of the available fertiliser stock have already been distributed to farmers as sowing operations continue across the district.

Collector Jitendra Yadav inspected key rural development projects in Dongargarh block, including a Grey Water Treatment Plant, Rural Industrial Park and Atal Digital Service Centre. He also promoted the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, reviewed rural infrastructure projects and encouraged farmers to adopt drone-based Nano DAP spraying.
