Sporting event strengthens harmony, coordination, and team spirit between administration and media

As part of the celebrations marking 25 years of Chhattisgarh’s state formation, a goodwill cricket match between the District Administration and Press Eleven was organized on the third day of the district-level Rajyotsav program at the Reserved Police Training Centre (Moding Peeding), Mohla.
The objective of this friendly match was to strengthen mutual cooperation, coordination, and goodwill between the administration and media, while promoting team spirit and healthy competition through sports. The match was inaugurated by Collector Smt. Tulika Prajapati, who greeted the players and extended her best wishes to both teams. She conducted the toss, where the District Administration team won and chose to bowl first.

Batting first, the Press Eleven team scored 37 runs, losing all wickets. Chasing the target, Superintendent of Police Shri Yashpal Singh and SDM Mohla Shri Hemendra Bhuarya opened the innings for the District Administration. Their strong partnership led the team to a comfortable victory with 38 runs. Lively commentary and enthusiastic participation added charm to the match, captivating the spectators.
In the second match, played between the District Administration and Police Department, the District Administration elected to bat after winning the toss and set a target of 76 runs. Collector Smt. Tulika Prajapati opened the innings and gave her team a strong start. In response, the Police Department successfully chased the target and claimed victory.
During the closing ceremony, Collector Smt. Tulika Prajapati and Superintendent of Police Shri Yashpal Singh presented trophies and appreciation certificates to both teams. Shri Prashant Sharma was awarded the Man of the Match title.

Speaking on the occasion, Collector Smt. Tulika Prajapati said that Rajyotsav is not merely a festival, but a symbol of mutual harmony, cooperation, and unity. Friendly matches encourage team spirit, discipline, and positive competition, reflecting the true spirit of the Silver Jubilee Year celebrations.
The event concluded with warm congratulations to both teams, with officers and employees expressing the essence of unity, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship. Present on the occasion were Additional Collector Shri G.R. Markam, SDM Mohla Shri Hemendra Bhuarya, SDM Manpur Shri Amit Nath Yogi, Deputy Collector Shri D.R. Dhruv, officers of the police department, media representatives, and other departmental staff.
