Focus on 100% Ayushman & Vaybandhan Card Distribution, Institutional Deliveries, Immunization and E-Attendance Compliance

A district-level review meeting of the Health Department was held at the District Panchayat hall under the guidance of Collector Mr. Jitendra Yadav. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Netram Navratan reviewed progress under various health programmes and issued necessary instructions to officials.
During the meeting, directions were given to organize special camps for ensuring 100% issuance of Ayushman Cards and Vaybandhan Cards within one week. Under the Maternal Health Programme, officials were instructed to prepare a list of high-risk pregnant women and ensure weekly telephonic follow-ups for health monitoring and guidance. Mitanins have been directed to visit households daily for 15 days prior to delivery and encourage safe institutional deliveries.
A directive was issued to minimize the gap between ANC-1 and ANC-4 registrations, ensure 100% antenatal care coverage, and distribute iron tablets regularly. Strict remarks were made regarding low institutional delivery rates, and show-cause notices were issued to the in-charges of Bagrekasa, Karmatra, and Buchatola.
Under the immunization programme, it was emphasized that all newborns must receive BCG to MR-1 vaccines on schedule. Committees were instructed to prepare due lists for left-out children and ensure online data entry on the U-WIN portal with verification. Officials were warned that failure to ensure mandatory Aadhaar-based e-Attendance would result in withholding of November salaries.
Progress under the TB control, leprosy control, and family planning programmes was also reviewed. The NRC at Dongargarh was directed to maintain 100% bed occupancy rate. Under the Mental Health Programme, health workers were asked to ensure 2–3% OPD counseling, while under the NCD programme, all Ayushman Arogya Mandirs must screen individuals above 30 years for blood pressure and diabetes. Distribution and monitoring of IFS tablets under the Anemia-Free Campaign was also stressed. Officials failing to improve performance in national health programmes will face disciplinary action.

The meeting was attended by District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Alpana Lunia, District Immunization Officer Dr. B.L. Tulavi, District Programme Manager (NHM) Mr. Sandeep Tamrakar, Urban Health Programme Manager Ms. Pooja Meshram, district advisors, block medical officers, block-level programme managers, data managers, sector supervisors, and district and block-level Mitanin coordinators.
