Renowned Scientist Dr. Dakeshwar Verma Highlights Importance of Science at Ambagarh Chowki College on National Science Day

On the occasion of National Science Day, a special program was organized at Government College Ambagarh Chowki, where world-renowned scientist Dr. Dakeshwar Verma attended as the chief speaker. Addressing the students, he spoke extensively about the importance of science and its vital role in society and human life.

During his address, Dr. Verma emphasized that science is not limited to laboratories but forms an integral part of everyday life. He encouraged students to cultivate a scientific temper, maintain curiosity, and develop a deeper interest in research and innovation. According to him, scientific thinking helps individuals understand the world better and contributes to solving complex problems faced by society.

He further explained that many groundbreaking discoveries and technological advancements have emerged from scientific research. These innovations, he said, play a crucial role in improving the quality of human life and accelerating social and economic development. Dr. Verma urged young students to view science not merely as an academic subject but as a powerful tool for transforming society.

Highlighting the role of youth in the scientific progress of the nation, he called upon students to pursue higher education in science and actively participate in research activities. He said that India has immense potential in the field of science and technology, and the younger generation can contribute significantly to strengthening the country’s position in global scientific advancement.

The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who actively engaged with the speaker by asking questions related to science and emerging technologies. Dr. Verma patiently responded to their queries and motivated them to explore new ideas and think beyond conventional boundaries.

College Principal Dr. Mandavi, program coordinator Dr. Memon Sahu, along with other faculty members, appreciated the inspiring lecture delivered by Dr. Verma. They said that such programs play an important role in developing scientific awareness among students and encourage them to adopt a rational and analytical approach toward learning.

The faculty members also expressed hope that interactions with eminent scientists would inspire students to pursue careers in scientific research and innovation, thereby contributing to the nation’s progress.
