A divisional workshop under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Training Campaign was organized on Saturday in Rajnandgaon, where the Bharatiya Janata Party trained its speakers and key functionaries from across the Durg division. The workshop, held at Sachita Lawn in Thekwa village of the Rajnandgaon Assembly constituency, saw participation from around 150 party office bearers representing eight districts of the division.

The training programme was conducted in four sessions and focused on strengthening the party’s organisational structure, government communication and electoral strategies. A major highlight of the workshop was the emphasis on emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), along with the effective use of social media and digital tools for communication and outreach.

Addressing the inaugural session, senior BJP leader Yashwant Jain stressed that training is a continuous process that enhances the intellectual and ideological development of party workers. The session was chaired by Dr. Avadhesh Jain, State Convener of the BJP Training Department, who presented the framework, objectives and methodology of the training campaign through a detailed presentation.

During the second session, senior leaders delivered lectures on various topics related to the party’s ideological and organisational growth. Former Assembly Speaker Prem Prakash Pandey spoke on the ideological foundation of the party, while Sandeep Sharma discussed the historical background and development aspects. BJP State Vice President Jagannath Panigrahi trained participants on organisational expansion strategies.

Another important session focused on technological innovation and communication strategies. Former State Social Media Convener Somesh Pandey trained party speakers on the use of social media platforms and AI-based tools to strengthen outreach and communication.

The workshop also included a session on government schemes and their implementation, which was addressed by Chhattisgarh’s in-charge minister Gajendra Yadav. Meanwhile, Member of Parliament Santosh Pandey conducted a detailed training session on booth management, highlighting the importance of grassroots organisation during elections.

The concluding session was attended by BJP State Vice President Nandan Jain and focused on a “Question and Resolution” format, allowing participants to clarify doubts and discuss strategies.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before Bharat Mata and floral tributes to Syama Prasad Mukherjee and Deendayal Upadhyaya. The introductory address was delivered by district BJP president Komal Singh Rajput, who emphasized that the BJP is among the few political parties that prioritize systematic training for its workers.

District General Secretary Saurabh Kothari conducted the proceedings and explained that the trained speakers from this session will now travel to various districts to train party workers at the mandal and booth levels.

Party leaders also highlighted the growing importance of digital communication. Workers were trained on how to stay updated through social media, use AI tools effectively, and maintain active communication with the public even while the party is in power.

The workshop is part of the BJP’s broader strategy to strengthen organisational discipline, ideological clarity and technological capability among its cadre as it prepares for future political challenges.
