Contractors accord grand welcome in Rajnandgaon with garlands and fireworks following organisational announcement

The Chhattisgarh State PHED Contractors’ Association has announced a key organisational change with the appointment of Rakesh Joshi as its Acting State President.
According to an official communication issued by State Secretary Vinod Agrawal, the appointment follows the ill health of State President Shivesh Dhar Diwan. The State Executive has entrusted Joshi, who was serving as the Association’s State Vice-President, with the responsibility of Acting State President until the next meeting of the organisation.
Following the announcement, contractors associated with the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) in Rajnandgaon gathered near the PHED office to celebrate the appointment. The event witnessed the bursting of firecrackers, floral felicitations, and the distribution of sweets as contractors congratulated Joshi on his new responsibility and wished him success in strengthening the organisation.
Among those present on the occasion were Surendra Das Vaishnav, Ameen Hudda, Nilesh Shrivastava, Nitin Bhati, Trigun Tak, Deepak Sharma, Atul Agrawal, Vinay Bindal, Nikhil Das, Saransh Ajmani, Nitin Gupta, and several other contractors.

Participants expressed confidence that under Joshi’s leadership, the Association would become stronger and more effectively represent the concerns of PHED contractors before the government and departmental authorities across the state.
Contractors also stated that the Association has consistently worked for the welfare of its members and expressed hope that under the new leadership, issues such as pending payments, simplification of departmental procedures, and other key concerns would be pursued more effectively.
Expressing gratitude for the confidence reposed in him, Acting State President Rakesh Joshi said he would strive to fulfil the responsibility entrusted to him with sincerity and dedication. He added that protecting the interests of PHED contractors across the state would remain his foremost priority and that he would work collectively with all members to further strengthen and energise the organisation.
