Regular watering is being carried out through water tankers to ensure the survival of greenery during extreme heat conditions. Maintenance activities are also being undertaken to prevent plants and trees from drying out and to preserve the city’s green cover.

Strengthening Sanitation and Cleanliness Efforts

To maintain a robust sanitation system, public representatives and municipal officials are conducting regular inspections across various wards.

In cases where negligence is detected or complaints are received regarding cleanliness services, notices are being issued to concerned contractors and appropriate action is being taken. The civic administration has reiterated its commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the city.

Drain Cleaning Drive Ahead of Monsoon

Keeping the upcoming monsoon season in mind, the Municipal Corporation has launched a comprehensive cleaning campaign covering major drains and residential colony drainage systems.

Most of the city’s major drains have already been cleaned during the first phase of the campaign, while work is continuing in the remaining areas. Daily removal of temporarily collected waste from the bus stand area is also being carried out to maintain sanitation standards.

In addition, roads and drainage systems surrounding government residential quarters in the Civil Lines area are being cleaned on a regular basis.

Improvements in Water Supply Infrastructure

The Municipal Corporation is working to further strengthen the city’s drinking water supply network.

A pipeline expansion project has been completed in the Sethi Nagar area. Simultaneously, the process of shifting household water connections from old pipelines to the newly laid network is underway to ensure adequate and uninterrupted drinking water supply to residents.

Road Development Works Under Review

Municipal authorities are regularly reviewing road resurfacing and asphalt-laying projects across the city.

Action has been taken against agencies where deficiencies in quality or delays in execution were identified. Following fresh tendering procedures, new work orders have been issued, and notices have been served to agencies failing to complete projects within stipulated timelines.

Action to Protect Public Property

The Municipal Corporation has also taken steps to safeguard public infrastructure and civic assets.

Considering public safety, access to the structure has been restricted until repairs are completed. Municipal officials stated that the departmental process related to repair work has already been completed and restoration work will commence shortly.
