Press Club Rajnandgaon Announces New Executive Committee After Approval by Patron Board

Senior Journalists and Young Members Given Representation in New Body

The long-awaited new executive committee of the Press Club Rajnandgaon has been constituted following approval by the club’s Patron Board. The names of the new office-bearers were finalized during a meeting of the Patron Board held at the Press Club building.

The new executive committee brings together the experience of senior journalists and representation from younger members, with an emphasis on strengthening the club’s activities and working on issues concerning the welfare of journalists.

Patron Board Finalizes New Executive Committee

The meeting was attended by prominent members of the Patron Board, including Sushil Kothari, Shyam Khandelwal, Deepak Buddhdev, Ashok Pandey, C.L. Jain Sona, Purushottam Tiwari and Jitendra Mishra.

Press Club President Sachin Agrahari, Press Club Housing Board Committee Chairman Mithilesh Dewangan, Secretary Anil Tripathi and Treasurer Basant Sharma were also present.

Following detailed discussions and consent from the Patron Board, the new executive committee was formally announced.

New Office-Bearers Announced

Pradeep Meshram has been appointed Senior Vice-President, while Anupam Thakur and Vikram Vajpayee will serve as Vice-Presidents.

The responsibilities of Joint Secretaries have been assigned to Ajay Soni, Pramod Sede and Rupesh Gupta.

Responsibilities Assigned for Literature, Publicity, Sports and Culture

The club has also assigned specific responsibilities to various office-bearers.

  • Literature: Dr. Suryakant Mishra and Atmaram Kosha
  • Publicity: Deepak Sahu and Lokesh Sharma
  • Sports: Suraj Yadu and Yogesh Sharma
  • Cultural Activities: Govind Sahu and Shubham Upadhyay
  • Legal Advisors: Vimal Hajra and Manish Tiwari

Executive Members Also Included

The executive committee members include Ashok Srivastava, Umashankar Sharma, Mahendra Soni, Prashant Eemalkar, Ravi Thakur, Akhilesh Khobragade, Lata Ghoshal, Santosh Dubey, Lalit Thakur and Amit Chatterjee.

The new body is expected to give further momentum to Press Club activities and work actively on matters related to the interests and welfare of journalists.

New Members and Upcoming Activities Discussed

During the meeting, approval was also given for inducting new members into the Press Club.

The Patron Board and office-bearers discussed plans for a ‘Meet the Press Club’ programme, seminars on various contemporary issues and several other activities.

The Patron Board emphasized the need to make the Press Club’s activities more active, effective and meaningful while strengthening coordination among journalists.
