Press Club Rajnandgaon has announced its new executive committee after approval from the Patron Board. The new body gives representation to both senior journalists and young members, with key responsibilities assigned across organizational, literary, publicity, sports, cultural and legal affairs.
Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh on Republic Day inaugurated a journalists’ residential complex built over 10 acres in Rajnandgaon, calling it a shining example of unity and collective effort within the media fraternity. The project, valued at ₹3.79 crore, will provide homes to 141 journalists, while additional water infrastructure works worth ₹49 lakh were also launched.
The Press Club Housing Board Society in Rajnandgaon has decided to deploy security personnel across the newly developed Press Club Colony. In its Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday, the society approved all seven agenda proposals, including the installation of CCTV cameras and removal of a director accused in a controversial sand mining and shooting incident.
