The district is witnessing a festive atmosphere as the annual paddy procurement drive progresses at full pace. Under the Kharif Marketing Year 2025–26, the state government has fixed the Minimum Support Price (MSP) at ₹3,100 per quintal, along with a provision to procure up to 21 quintals per acre, creating widespread enthusiasm among farmers.
Under the direction of Collector Smt. Tulika Prajapati, extensive arrangements have been made at all procurement centres to ensure smooth and transparent operations. Each centre has been equipped with electronic weighing machines, drinking water facilities, shaded waiting areas, biometric devices, adequate labour support, and other essential amenities. Moisture meters are being used to verify the quality of paddy brought to the centres.

All 27 procurement centres in the district have displayed flex boards containing details of purchase rates, guidelines, and centre-wise information. The Collector has ordered continuous monitoring at all centres and strict action against middlemen and agents involved in illegal paddy trading or transportation.
To improve efficiency and reduce crowding, tokens for paddy sale are being issued exclusively through the ‘Token Tunhar Hath’ mobile application, allowing farmers to schedule their visits without waiting unnecessarily at the centres.
According to official data, the district has already procured 1,55,275 quintals of paddy from 43,520 registered farmers, signalling a highly successful start to the procurement season.
