The ongoing paddy procurement drive under the Kharif Marketing Year 2025–26 has created an atmosphere of happiness and enthusiasm among farmers in Rajnandgaon district. Under the state government’s support price policy and the Kisan Unnati Yojana, paddy is being procured at the rate of ₹3,100 per quintal, with a ceiling of 21 quintals per acre.

Under the guidance of Collector Mr. Jitendra Yadav, elaborate arrangements have been made to ensure smooth and transparent procurement operations. Facilities such as electronic weighing machines, drinking water, shade, biometric devices, labour support and other essential services have been provided at procurement centres. Paddy brought by farmers is being tested using moisture measuring devices to ensure quality standards.

Across all 96 paddy procurement centres in the district, rate charts, lists and flex boards have been prominently displayed. The Collector has directed officials to maintain continuous monitoring of procurement centres and take strict action against illegal procurement by middlemen and agents.

To make the process more convenient, farmers are receiving tokens for paddy sale through the “Token Tunhar Haath” mobile application, which has helped save time and improved efficiency.

Notably, so far 5,200,539.60 quintals of paddy worth ₹1,234 crore 62 lakh 62 thousand has been procured from 103,607 registered farmers in the district. Lifting of paddy is also progressing steadily, with 1,691,672.50 quintals already transported from procurement centres.
